God's hand has painted a picture, of color and of sound,
and if you look and listen closely you'll find His work is all around.
As this morning sun begins to rise, in the air the breath of spring,
a gentle breeze blowing soft gives life to everything.
The ripples on the pond dance in lines of glittered diamonds,
the swallows busy feeding from their long trip from the islands.
The bluebirds and the cardinals sing an ol' familiar tune,
that God created all, and Jesus is coming soon.
The land covered white so long now re-born to emerald green,
the colors in the woods showcase it's own unique sheen.
The blackberry are setting leaves, mayapples breaking ground,
asparagus will be coming up and mushrooms soon be found.
So, from the red buds on the maple to the willow covered yellow,
it appears that spring has finally sprung, at least to this ol' fellow.
